Since they're so prominent in my latest book, "NEXUS Point," I'm going to post the definition of what the Na'dari Order is. Of all the character pictures on the Home page, five of them are of Na'dari. Since pictures of Duncan Clark and Roland Banniston were already posted there, here are the other members of the heroic Na'dari team featured in "NEXUS Point."

The guy on the top-left is Rolef Enzen, who was the second senior Na'dari on the team. A member of the Caninaen species, Rolef is a stickler for rules and decorum, which can be kind of annoying to the others, especially Lami.

On the top-right is Lami Ken, who is a Rodentan and the only female member of the team. A former Caspian Royal Army Ranger, she's an elusive hand-to-hand fighter and an excellent marksman. Lami is also a bit of a smartarse who loves getting on Rolef's nerves.

At the bottom right is Bol Dalga, who is an Ophidan. A former Marine Commando from the Locerlan Republic, Bol is an excellent close-quarters fighter and unflappable under fire.

On the bottom-left is Dring Senyas, who is a member of the Reptilon species. Cool under pressure and highly intelligent, Dring is a former army scout in the Raswaon Kingdom’s elite “Long Patrol.”

Na’dari: (Nah-dar-ee) An ecumenical order of monk warriors dedicated to defending Sophont-kind from evil, ranging from terrorists to unspeakably horrifying demons and their sorcerer minions. Fortunately for the Na’dari, fighting demons and their powerful mortal servants is a responsibility that primarily falls upon the wizards with whom the Na’dari served the Creator. While wizards are “demis” with powers and abilities known as “the Gift,” Na’dari are highly skilled warriors trained in hand-to-hand combat, sword fighting, and mastery of all laser weapons. Comprising all species from many worlds in the sector, each Na’dari endured grueling months of novitiate to earn the Blade of Crimm.

Obviously, the various species and religions were inspired by the Jedi Order. The Harpers from "Forgotten Realms" influenced some of the "special investigative units" within the Na'dari, but what inspired me most were the Warders from Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series.

And to not leave you hanging, here is the definition of the Blade of Crimm.

Blade of Crimm     With a golden dragon hilt and a tavacel blade protruding from its open maw, the Blade of Crimm is synonymous with the Na’dari Order.  Men and women who endured the grueling training and passed the trials earned the right to take the Final Oath to become Na’dari. The Blade of Crimm is the symbol of that right.
